FAQs

1. What should I bring or wear?
Just bring your fabulous self! Wear comfy clothes you can move in and a pair of trainers. Don’t forget a water bottle to stay hydrated. And please make sure to complete the Medical Consent Form before class—it only takes a minute!

2. Is there parking available?
Yes! At YMCA South Ealing, there's a spacious car park—just register your number plate at the front desk when you arrive.

3. I’m a complete beginner—is this class right for me?
Absolutely! Classes are perfect for beginners. The choreography is designed to be simple, fun, and easy to follow. Most people joining are new too—just bring your energy, an open mind, and a love for moving to music!

4. What can I expect from the BollyBurn class?
Tuesdays: Get ready for a joyful hour packed with Bollywood beats and feel-good moves! We’ll start with a 5-minute warm-up, then a 15-minute energising workout, followed by 30 minutes of learning a fun Bollywood routine. We’ll finish with a 5-minute cool down to leave you smiling and refreshed!
Thursday:  Just as joyful and sweaty! We'll
start with a 5-minute warm-up, then a series of 10-minute energising workouts that's ideal for the full family!

5. How do I pay?
All bookings are made in advance through the website. You can choose a single drop-in session or grab a 6-class credit package for £45 (valid for 3 months. Either way, make sure to book your spot online before class!

6. Do you offer any other classes?
Right now, classes run on Tuesdays in Ealing. For summer, we're running family friendly classes on Thursday too, between 16th July to 27th August.

7. Can I bring my child? Can they join this class?

BollyBurn Tuesday classes are designed and aimed at adults. Participants should be 16 or over.
Summer Thursday's however, are for the full family and I encourage you to bring children aged 8 and over. Please note however that they should be accompanied by a participating adult, rather than dancing alone.

8. Are classes recorded?
Please also note, the 'workout' element of classes will be filmed for our YouTube channel. However, if you would prefer not to be included in recordings, you are more than welcome to position yourself at the back / side where you're less / not at all visible.

Meet Shree

Shree discovered her love of dance during the hours spent watching Bollywood movies during her childhood. The energy, the expression, the drama pulled her in, and she began classes at the age of 7.

Since then, Shree's either been learning new styles, teaching private clients or performing at shows across the country. Today, Shree's focus is on choreography and teaching. For her, SoBolly is about community, fun and creativity. Ealing has been where she's grown up, so having the chance to bring her fellow West Londerers together through Bollywood dance is a special and exciting opportunity!
